Wow!.... what a long week this was. By Friday night I was zapped. I have a black eye due to the first day of baseball practice at the school. Yes, I was hit right in the left eye socket with a pitch. It floored me and made me dizzy. I thought I was the coach, so how am I getting injured? Three months to go and coaching for Dave is over!
Jack is really mad at me at the moment. I have not taken her out in a month. The weather has be terrible and I get home late. She accused me of cheating on her with a younger spin bike. I was able to finally get her to understand I just rode the younger bike because I needed to get a ride in. Jack seems to understand. I do miss her though.
My swimming is coming along great and I feel better in the pool every time I go. That is great motivation. My running is almost back to where it was at the end of last season. So, overall the training is going great and my body is responding well.
I just purchased my Ironman training plan and even though it looks really long and hard, I think it will be manageable. Yes, I bought a plan. I know all you coaches out there think this is a bad idea. But, guess what, I do not have 150 dollars a month to pay you to beat me down. I can do it by myself!
Deeks signed up for the Ironman as well. So, I will have a training partner. That is a good thing. The first race of the season is March 27th in Columbia. It is a little sprint. I have no expectations about how I will finish. I will be happy with a middle of the pack. Al is coming up to do it. Jorgia and Deeks are racing, as well as my buddy Jimmy. It should be a great time.
