I decided to start the Ironman training plan this week. Three weeks early. But that's ok. I feel pretty good. The winter pounds are coming off, the swim stroke is getting dial back in, and my legs on the "spin bike" feel great.
A friend of mine decided he was going to do a sprint this season. He met me for spin class this morning and he rubbed his crotch raw on the bike. That is funny! He made it through the class even though he almost pooped himself. Now that would have been funny! It is good to see people get healthy. It is motivating for sure when people get out of their comfort zone and try this sport. I told him to be careful because of the addiction triathlon can cause.
Tomorrow I start weight lifting for the first time in years. This and nutrition are the new things I am adding this year that have been missing the past three years. I am sure I am going to be super sore. well, until next time!
