Well, their is major news in mine and Jorgia's lives. We have been selected for a child and we have accepted. After the initial fear of I am going to be a Dad, we have become very excited. It is going to be a real challenge in the beginning. However, God has opened a door for us and we are very grateful. So my vision of crossing the finish line at the Ironman with Jorgia and our son waiting is even more of a possibility.
On the training front, things are still going along. Some days are better than others. My running seems to have improved the most for I am able to hold 7:45 to 7:15 miles. Now that will not be the case for 26.2 miles but it will be good for the last couple of sprint races I have this season. The bike continues to hold steady and the swimming is....well.... still the worst of the three events. If I can make it out of the water in the time allotted then if the fueling holds up I should be an Ironman. Then I may retire... SIKE!
